 R.J.Harvey Instrument Corporation opened it's doors over 30 years ago specializing in laboratory equipment used for drug, fertilizer and pesticide research. Today , it manufactures a broad range of products not only for industrial research, but also for the home, swimming pools , and peoples health. Corporate headquarters and research are located at Hillsdale, NJ. The corporation pioneered in the design, development, and manufacture of the HARVEY BIOLOGICAL OXIDIZER instruments used for combustion and collection of carbon-14 and tritium radiolabeled compounds at 900C. The latest model, recently introduced, is the fully automated OX-700 model which contains many new features. Other products include the F-201 SLIP-LAMINATE device, and digital FORCE GAGES, used for static and kinetic measurements of friction, tensile and peel testing using ASTM procedures. The corporation also developed and manufactures the original KBr pellet maker (QUICK PRESS ) and associated dies used for standardization of IR laboratory measurements. The Romark Division developed the "Net-HDL cholesterol" test which was awarded patent number 5,453,358. In addition, after extensive research and testing, Romark has formulated the "VASCARE" food supplement for the healthy maintenance of the cardio-vascular system. This is a pleasant tasting liquid product which supplies various nutrients that are missing or deficient in the modern diet. Products for the home include the "ECOL'AQUA"electronic instrument for inhibiting microorganism growth in pool water.
